The ALOS RC80 and RC80M are versatile carriers for 16mm and 35mm rollfilm. They
fit on a wide range of Canon reader-printers such as the PC80, MP90, digital
micro-printers and the NP series. Two models are available: a motorized version
(RC80), with a selection of two different speed controls, and a low cost manual
model (RC80M).
These carriers accommodate 16mm and 35mm film in open reels. Both models also
support M-type cartridges with an optional adapter kit. The RC80 carriers easily
interchange with other carriers for applications requiring viewing of both
rollfilm and fiche.
The RC80 features two
speed control options. Both options make it quick and simple to locate the
desired film location depending on the application or user preference.
Push-button controls feature three convenient speeds. Slow motion, scan
and high speed are available for forward and reverse motion. High speed is at 10
feet (3m) per second, and the slow scanning motion is remarkably smooth.
Variable speed control is available for any film speed adjustment between
0 to 10 feet (3m) per second. The desired film speed in both directions is
adjusted with a control knob. This control allows hands-free operation and
smooth film movement at any speed, which eliminates eye strain.
The automatic film gate prevents film scratching by opening the glass flats
during high-speed film transport. Film threading is fast and simple.
