The motorized UC50 is a universal carrier that allows you to meet all of your
microform retrieval needs with just one carrier. It is a highly versatile, yet
economical carrier that is the ideal choice when fast and easy switching between
fiche and rollfilm is required. It is designed to work with a variety of ALOS,
Minolta and Bell+Howell reader-printers and microform-scanners.
The unit supports 16mm and 35mm film in open reels, microfiche, aperture cards
and jackets. With an optional adapter, 3M-type cartridges are also accepted. The
UC50 has a motorized film transport that offers variable motor-driven control,
which permits film searching and rewinding at variable speeds, making it quick
and simple to locate the desired film location.
The fiche component of the carrier permits viewing of microfiche, jackets and
aperture cards. The upper glass opens automatically when the handle is pulled
out.
